ALCHEMY OF LAYERS

The ocean is a vast, mysterious entity that mirrors the depth and complexity of human nature. From the rich, textured seabed to the boundless surface waters, the ocean’s layers are akin to the layers within ourselves each holding secrets, beauty, and potential.
This project draws on the ocean’s depth and vastness to create a gown that serves as a metaphor for the human condition. The brown-to-blue ombre effect represents the journey from the unseen depths to the illuminated surface, while the eye motifs symbolize the need for awareness and focus on the importance of the oceans in our lives. This gown is designed to be a visual and symbolic reminder of the interconnectedness between humanity and the natural world, urging us to protect our oceans as we would protect ourselves.
